Kaiga Generating Station, located near the Kali River in Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka, India, is a nuclear power plant operated by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India. Operational since March 2000, it features four pressurized heavy water reactors, each with a 220 MW gross capacity. The fourth unit became critical on November 27, 2010. The site is divided into two sections: the west with the oldest two units and the east with the newer two units.
