The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (Western DFC) is an ongoing project in India, spanning 1,506 km. It aims to establish a dedicated freight route on a 1,676 mm gauge, connecting Dadri in Uttar Pradesh with the Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Raigad District, Maharashtra. Once completed, this corridor will significantly enhance freight transportation efficiency and connectivity between the northern hinterlands and the western coast of India.
