CAC®-POWER CRETE COALTAR | Coal Tar Epoxy Protective Coating for Concrete & Steel
Traditionally, concrete and steel structures in industrial and underground environments have been protected using coating systems to reduce the effects of moisture, chemicals, sewage, salt water, and abrasion.
Under such exposure conditions, coating performance plays an important role in protecting structures from corrosion and surface deterioration.
Inadequate coating systems or improper application can result in loss of adhesion, coating failure, and reduced durability over time.
The performance of a protective coating system depends on factors such as surface preparation, coating thickness, adhesion, and resistance under immersion conditions.
CAC®-POWER CRETE COALTAR
A two-component coal tar epoxy coating developed for the protection of concrete and steel structures exposed to corrosive environments.
The coating is suitable for structures subjected to salt water, fresh water, sewage, and chemical exposure. It can also be applied on slightly damp surfaces where site conditions are challenging.
Key Benefits
▪️ Resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and abrasion
▪️ Suitable for salt water and fresh water immersion
▪️ High-build coating with 120–150 micron DFT per coat
▪️ Adhesion on concrete, steel, and timber
▪️ Moisture-tolerant application on slightly damp surfaces
▪️ Resistance to blistering and film breakdown
▪️ Resistance to impact and thermal shock
Applications
Water tanks, pipelines, foundation walls, sewage treatment plants, chemical industries, underground structures, marine infrastructure, substructures, and buried concrete or steel surfaces exposed to aggressive environments.
