Chennai Egmore Railway Station Redevelopment Project

Project Spotlight | Chennai Egmore Railway Station Redevelopment

The ₹840 crore Chennai Egmore Railway Station redevelopment project is transforming one of South India’s busiest railway hubs into a modern airport-style transit destination. The project includes a G+3 terminal building, 11 platforms, 12 tracks, a 72m-wide elevated sky deck, and several sustainable infrastructure features.

We are delighted to support this project, executed by DEC Industries for Southern Railway, a zone of Indian Railways.

#Concrete execution on this complex brownfield project demanded durability, waterproofing, and reliable concrete performance while preserving the station’s historic structure.

Our CAC® Hyper Fluid Plus series #admixtures enabled workability retention and smooth pumping performance for structural concrete applications, while CAC® Crystalline series #waterproofing admixtures enhanced durability and waterproofing performance across critical structural areas.

At #CAC, we continue to support railway and transit infrastructure projects with reliable concrete solutions for modern urban mobility.
