The Vizhinjam International Deepwater Multipurpose Seaport, developed by the Government of Kerala, India, is an ambitious project located on the eastern coastline near key international shipping routes. Primarily designed for container transshipment, it aims to become a major hub for the Indian subcontinent. The port will also handle multi-purpose and break-bulk cargo. It will be protected by a 3,100-meter-long breakwater, reinforced with 2,000 ACCROPODE™II units of 5.0 m³ each.
