Mumbai – Pune Missing Link, an important link on the Expressway Ghat section, is a Rs6,600 crore project. It is a Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation project  Once commissioned, the Mumbai Pune expressway is expected to be benefitted immensely with the distane shortened and the safety improved. A host of newgen technologies are expected to be incorporated – including the Intelligent Traffic Monitoring System as also the advanced fire fighting techniques, the first of their kind, making their appearance in India.
